There are 2 services that you’ll need for a working website - a domain name and a website hosting plan for it. When you type the domain address in your web browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the hosting account, but if that domain isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. To put it differently, the domain address is registered and you are its owner, but it doesn't have any content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it may be directed to some other URL of your choice. The benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make certain that nobody else is going to take it. In the meantime, it's not going to block a slot for a hosted domain name inside your account. You can also park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain addresses with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Shared Hosting

If you have a shared plans with us, you're going to be able to park all of your domain names effortlessly. The feature is offered for the domain names registered with us, but not for the ones which are only hosted here and directed from another company, as a domain can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will enable you to choose from a number of different templates and you'll be able to include your own text to any one of them. Redirecting a domain address to a new URL is as easy as only typing the web address and saving it. If you would like to host any of your parked domain addresses, it takes only a mouse click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, creating the necessary DNS records, etc. For easier management, you are going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered in the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

With each and every semi-dedicated server that we offer you will have the freedom to park as many domain names that are registered through us as you want. Given that only the registrar company can provide a parking feature, you cannot park domain addresses that are only hosted on our sophisticated cloud hosting platform. Using the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting CP you can park and un-park domains with only a few clicks and filter all domains that you have got by their status, for a lot easier administration. We provide a variety of templates which you can use and if you would like, you could also include some custom text to each of them. If you choose to un-park a domain and host it in your account, you'll not need to do anything manually - our system will create a domain folder inside the File Manager section and will set up all of the needed DNS records so that your domain functions properly and starts loading the content which you upload for it on our servers.
